Panthers failed to close the gap on Central as the Falcpns edged their way to a narrow 65-53 win behind the shooting of Kenny Hoover, Duane Laughlin and Mitch Heichman.

Once again it was the tendency of the eager Panthers to run into foul trouble that gave the edge to the opposition.

The Falcons nipped the Panthers by only two shots from the floor, but Central managed to win 25 trips to the foul line contrasted with only 15 freethrows for the Panthers.

Should the Rappahannock men manage to overcome foul problems without sacrificing their aggressiveness, then future opponents will be in for some scrappy contests with the Panthers. RCHS FG Miller, Brooke 6 Compton, Donnoe 5 Jett, Thomas 5 Settle, Gary 2 Stump, Greg 1
