A cooperative effort of the Fauquier, Rappahannock and Culpeper County sheriffs’ departments last week led to the recovery of nearly $30,000 worth of household silver stolen Jan. 19 from the home of Robert D. van Roijen, St. Leonards Farm, Warrenton.
John Wayne Bucy, 27, of Culpeper, Tex Arden Ralls, 28, of Brandy Station and James Edward Stanley, 20, of Aroda (Madison County) have been arrested and charged with the theft.
“We believe the three men are part of a theft ring operating in the tricounty area,” Fauquier County Sheriff Luther Cox said Friday.
Bucy, Ralls and Stanley allegedly went to the van Roijen home between 8:30 p.m. and midnight Jan. 19 and stole the silverware. Entry was gained through a door leading from the garage to the kitchen.
