Dodson

George Haywood Dodson, 56, of Washington died at his residence Thursday, January 26, 1978. Services were conducted Sunday from the Geest Funeral Home Chapel in Culpeper by the Rev. John Burke. Interment was in the Washington Masonic Cemetery.

Mr. Dodson was the son of the late John Franklin Dodson and Elizabeth Jenkins Dodson of Rappahannock County. He was a member of Gid Brown Baptist Church, and was employed in farm work before retiring about four years ago due to declining health.

He is survived by two brothers, Earl Wilson Dodson and Baron Franklin Dodson both of Washington.

Serving as pallbearers were Albert Payne, Charles Pullen, Wayne Burke, Ray Burke, Burrell Woodward and Ronnie Baldwin.
