OVERSEED FOR MORE PASTURE OR HAY NEXT SPRING
Last summer’s drought caused the loss of clover in many pasture and hay fields. February or early March is an excellent time to reseed clover back into grass stands. Seeding 4-6 lbs. of red clover per acres in hay fields and a mixture of 2-3 lbs. of red clover and 1-2 lbs. of ladino clover per acre in tall grass pastures to be grazed and possibly cut for hay will greatly improve the yield and quality of the forage.
