Agriculture LICE CONTROL—Over the years it has been my observation (nothing scientific) that cattle lice appear to be more of a problem when we are experiencing weather conditions such as we have had for the past month. Extended cold weather combined with snow covered ground. Also, cattle lice populations tend to peak out in late January, February and early March. Considering the high cost and short supply of winter feed, neglecting lice control is not a smart way to cut costs. Korlan or Lysoff can be applied with a calibrated dipper as a pouron along center line of back of the animal for effective lice control. Follow directions on the label very carefully. Two applications'1 at 14 day intervals will give better control of lice when using Korlan.
