Gary Settle then picked up the ball and tossed it in, which was followed by the buzzer ending the game.
Everyone proceeded to bury Gary with pats on the back and shouts of approval. The scoring was paced by Janny Jett with a whopping 24 points. Greg Stump followed with 13 and Gary Settle with 10. Danny was also leading rebounder, pulling down 11. Close behind was Greg with 9. The final score was 59-57. This is the first time this season that both teams have won on the road.
On January 27, the Panthers hosted Elkton Elks at home. The JV's were victorious over the Elks with a final score of 59-49. The scoring was balanced with Steve Mucciarone high, chalking up 15 points. Greg Bright had 14; Gary Leake 12 and Sponge (Tony) Wayland swishing in 10. The JV’s set a new school record with 8 wins and 4 losses. Way to do it, JV’s!
The Varsity came up on the short end of the score against Elkton. Danny Jett was scoreman with 17 points and 7 rebounds. Greg Stump also had 17 points with 10 rebounds. Brooke Miller dished in 15.
