the finals of this event. She was advised to forego her final jumps and still managed to hold her third place standing at the conclusion of the high jump.

Hurdle trials placed two Rappahannock girls in the Finals with their third hurdler, Natalie Swindler, being edged out. Lynnell Prudhum placed third in the finals, running an 11.8 sec., with Johanna Day given 7th place. Lynnell will travel to the regionals and with a good showing there, will go on to state competition, where she placed 6th in this event last year. Jamelle Prudhum set a new school record of 26.0 seconds in the 220 yd. dash and should easily win the regional. Lynnell Prudhum also placed well in the 220, running 6th in 28.0 sec., and will attempt to improve her (Continued on Page 3)
