Edgar K. Browning, son of Mr. and Mrs. John S Browning of Flint Hill, is one of ten new adjunct scholars named to join the American Enterprise Institute for Public Policy Research. Browning will participate in public policy research at the University of Virginia as part of AEI’s academic outreach program.

Browning is a professor of economics at the University of Virginia, where he has taught since 1969. His study on “Redistribution and the Welfare System” was published by AEI in 1975, and he has written many other papers. Prior to joining the University of Virginia, he was a teaching assistant at Princeton University, where he received his Ph.D. in 1969.

Browning graduated from Rappahannock County High School in 1961 and from the University of Virginia in 1965.
