Binford
Services for Elizabeth Binford of Elkins, W. Va., were held Tuesday, May 2, at Vaughan Funeral Home in Elkins, the Rev. George T. Schramm officiating. Burial was in Mount Olivet Cemetery.
Mrs. Binford, 87, died Friday evening, April 28, 1978, at Nello’s Nursing Home in Elkins.
She was born in Washington, Va., in 1891, a daughter of the late Charles W. and Nellie Compton Coates. A veteran of World War I, she retired in 1966 as a registered nurse. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include one brother, Edward^ Coates of Roanoke; two sisters, Mrs. Alice Verner of Washington, Va., and Mrs. Mary Virginia Baker of Parkersburg, W. Va.; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Binford was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Binford; two brothers and two sisters.
