In a majority vote at Thursday’s Board meeting, the Rappahannock Supervisors denied Dorothy Davis’s request for commercial rezoning on three acres outside the town of Washington.
Before discussion by the Supervisors, Chairman E. P. Luke read a letter from Highway Department Resident Engineer Don Askew that stated the cost of any additional road development needed to handle higher traffic volume from Mrs. Davis’s proposed antique and craft business would be borne by the landowner.
