Coming up soon on Tuesday, May 16, at 7:30 p.m., the Rappahannock Library will present a multimedia slide show. Byron Schumaker of Flint Hill will project “The Face of Rural America” and "China Today” onto a wide screen especially designed to receive the images from 10 projectors, cued by the sound tape.
"The Face of Rural America’’, produced under Schumaker’s direction as Chief of the Photographic Division, U.S. Department of Agriculture, is taken from a book of the same name which the library already has on its shelves. “China Today,” the second half of the program, is an exclusive and personal glimpse of China, filmed by Schumaker when he accompanied former President Richard Nixon to that country.
