collided at An intersection. According to the report Mary Helen Wayland of Washington in a 70 Toyota and Timothy Wayne Morris of Front Royal driving a 69 Dodge were involved.
A rear end collision occurred April 29 on Routes 522 and 630 when Anne Jenkins Clatterbuck of Culpeper in a 77 Dodge was struck by Marc Victor Giannoni of Hagerstown, Md. driving a 75 Chevrolet.
According to the report, the Clatterbuck vehicle slowed for vehicles ahead of her and Giannoni struck her from behind.

More adult and teenage volunteers are needed to keep alive the Rappahannock Athletic Association’s summer baseball program for boys and girls. Only 22 people attended the organizational meeting on May 4 so another attempt at rounding up help is planned. A second organizational meeting is scheduled for Monday, May 15, at 8 p.m. in the Sperryville fire hall.
Association president Guy Foster stressed that at least 25 more volunteers are desperately needed to keep the program going. So far, Foster has no umpires at all, no coaches for the older boys and no groundskeepers to be responsible for laying lime to mark the fields. Additional assistance is also needed in the girls’ program and with younger boys.
It is not necessary to have children in the baseball program in order to be a volunteer. Help from any interested adult or teenager is welcome. For further information, attend the meeting at the Sperryville fire hall or, if unable to do so, contact Guy Foster at 6753467.
