Mrs. A. H. Keyser, accompanied by Mrs. Joseph Crews, was in Leesburg last Wednesday to visit her brother, Albert J. Slaughter. Mrs. Margaret Slaughter Collins and Miss Ann Slaughter of Alexandria called on Mr. and Mrs. Keyser Sunday afternoon. Spending the weekend with Mrs. W. M. Fletcher were her cousins, Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Lamb, of Baltimore, Md. Monday, Mr. and Mrs. Buckner Winfield of Fairfax called on Mrs. Fletcher.
The Sue Slaughter Group will meet Thursday evening, May 11, beginning at 7:30 p.m. at the Washington Baptist Church.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert O. Bridges celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary with Sunday evening dinner at the Boar’s Head Inn, Charlottesville. They were joined by their children and grandchildren, Mr. and Mrs. Price Wood of Warrenton, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Cox of Charlottesville and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Harris of Manassas.
Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Witham of Lynn, Mass., returned home Monday after spending the previous week as the houseguests of Col. and Mrs. Robert H. Ingle and Christopher. Joining them for dinner on Sunday were Mrs. Jack Heberle of Defiance and Robert O’Neil of Front Royal.
Mrs. Nick Penaranda of Fairfax and her daughter, Mrs. Clay Walker and daughter, Chrissy, of Shepherdstown, W. Va., spent Monday with Stant Weaver. Mrs. Walker will graduate from Shepherd College, W. Va., as a registered nurse this Saturday.
Joining Mrs. Gabe Burke for dinner on Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Roy Alther, Roy Jr. and Missy of Sperryville and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Burke and Jeff.
