Supervisors that he had “no objection to a law that would help the Game Warden, who’s a dedicated person. If he thinks it will help...then I’m for it,” he stated.
Peter Kreyling maintained that enactment of the ordinances “will help hunters in the long run. In the four years I’ve been here, I’ve noticed more and more land being posted all through the county,” he said.
Passage of the proposed hunter control laws “would help combat the anti-hunting sentiment that is causing landowners to post their property,” said Kreyling. “The more you can do to keep out-of-county hunters out, the more there’ll be here for you," he told the hunting club members.
“I think the ordinance will do more to protect their (the hunters) hunting rights and their property than it’s taking away,” said Supervisor J. R. Latham.
