Memory Porter, representing the Piedmont Environmental Council, .appeared at last week’s meeting of the Rappahannock Supervisors to explain the Resource Conservation Act to the Board.
She reported that data on conservation programs is being gathered in the 42 Virginia Soil and Water Conservation Districts. She noted that only two citizens had showed up for the Rappahannock meeting. “One or two citizens—that’s not grass roots. That’s one root.”
