Amissville firemen opened their annual fund raising carnival last night at the carnival grounds located on Route 211 west of the village. The festivities continue through Saturday night with special activities each evening.
Tonight, Thursday, the grand parade featuring fire and rescue equipment, marching units, majorettes, floats and many other entries will begin at 7 p.m. promptly.
The midway will contain a number of exciting rides, including a new ferris wheel, used the first time this week. The rides are McSpadden’s of Florida, well known in the area. 1
