Programs
The Sunday School of Macedonia Baptist Church in Flint Hill will sponsor a yard sale at the church on Saturday, June 24, beginning at 9 a.m. Refreshments will also be sold. On Saturday evening, the Twelve Keys will present a program sponsored by Mrs. James A. Price. This program will begin at 7 p.m. at Macedonia Baptist Church. The Gospel Harmonizers of Hume will perform Sunday afternoon, June 25, at 4 p.m. in the church for the benefit of the Sunday School.
All are invited to attend any of these programs.
Buxton
The Rev. Clarence Edward Buxton, rector of the historic Pohick Church in Lorton from 1940 to 1956. died Saturday, June 17, 1978 at the Sleepy Hollow Manor Nursing Home in Annandale. He was 89. ■
Rev. Buxton was bom in Bristol, N.H. He was a graduate of Harvard University, the Virginia Theological Seminary and was ordained a priest in the Episcopal Church in 1917. He was a veteran of World War I and was decorated by both the U. S. and French governments.
