Bloomer replied that storage space was available for July and August. “I don’t know where they'll go after that.” he said. He maintained that storage in the county jail, as suggested previously, was not feasible. “It’s about time we did something positive" to construct a permanent, protected storage facility since the records have to be kept forever, Board member Paul Nichols responded.
Mrs. Massie agreed that a permanent storage site may be an item for the school’s capital improvement program.
In other action, the School Board members voted unanimously to include cafeteria personnel under the category of full-time employees so they would become eligible for inclusion in the school's group life insurance, retirement and pension plans.
Instead of adjourning, the School Board members voted to recess Tuesday’s meeting until a special session scheduled for June 28.
