After listening to all the speakers, chairman Johnson reported that School Board candidates were evaluated by the Trustees on whether they were tax paying voters and had children in school. The Trustees also take education and background and support by petitions into consideration, according to Johnson. Since the School Board spends most of the county’s tax money, the Trustees, also like to get ‘"•'members with - some practical business' --experience,” he added.

Johnson noted that most of the Trustees' decisions have been unanimous and expressed pride in the Electoral Board’s ability to keep its actions free from politics and in the best interests of the school children.

The Trustees then took a short five minute recess and came back to unanimously reappoint Masterson to a four-year School Board term as the representative from Stonewall-Hawthorne district.
