Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Buntin spent Saturday with his brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Simon Kamminga in Falls Church where they were joined by another brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Jennings of Danville. Miss Nancy Buntin who has held a teaching position in Bath County is spending some time with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Buntin.
Mrs. John Updike entertained in honor of Mr. Updike on Father's Day having as guests Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Updike and family of Omaha, Neb., Mr. and Mrs. Francis Updike and family of Culpeper. Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Updike, Mr. and Mrs. Randall Updike, Byrd Updike, Mrs. Cary Fox and their houseguest Mrs. Edna Mello of Arlington. Afternoon callers were Mr. and Mrs. Doug Baines and son of Culpeper. Lyle Updike returned to Omaha Monday and his family remained for a longer visit.
Mrs. Mary Lea returned to her home Monday after visiting since Friday with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. John Cargill at Smith Mountain Lake.
Brad Fisher returned home Wednesday after attending a four-day conference in Denver. Colo.
Neighbors of Frank and Janice Moffett on Mt. Salem Avenue entertained with a welcome party for them since they have moved into the former Campbell house. The get together was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Rex Linstrom and all of the residents on the street were invited.
Stant Weaver was visited last Tuesday by his sisters, Mrs. J. W. Hawkins, Mrs. George R. Butler and Mrs. Cary G. Thornhill, all of Boston. On Sunday, he was joined by his son-in-law.
