Services for James Watson Tobin Sr. of Front Royal were conducted Sunday at the Front Royal Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Richard E. Bethune. Interment was at the Masonic Cemetery in Washington," Va.t with a Masonic graveside service by Washington Lodge No. 78 AF& AM.
Mr. Tobin died Thursday, July 13, 1978, in Winchester Memorial Hospital. He was 80.
He was born in Rappahannock County March 5, 1898, a son of the late Lemeul Gilbert Tobin and Nora Edna Kidwell Tobin. An Army veteran of World War II, he was a member and past worshipful master of the Washington Masonic Lodge No. 78 AF & AM.
Mr. Tobin is survived by a son, James W. Tobin Jr. of Front Royal, a brother, Robert Tobin of Covington, four sisters, Mrs. Easter Mae Wood and Mrs. Gertrude Bum of Front Royal, Mrs. Margaret Holzier of Fairfax Station and Mrs. Goldie Slaughter of Falls Church and two grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Coronary Care Unit at Warren Memorial Hospital, Front Royal.
