In response to your editorial, Supply and Demand, dated July 13, 1978, the following information may answer some of your stated questions.
“Why don’t the laws of supply and demand hold true for Rappahannock County?” They do, but we have teaching vacancies in disciplines with a limited supply and most of the
applicants are in selected fields of education such as early childhood, social studies, or physical education.
"If there are more teachers looking for jobs than there are positions available, why aren’t out-of-work teachers applying here?”
