continuing contracts would then have to accept or reject a position in the Rappahannock schools within 15 days. If notice of contract rejection was not received from the teacher within that period, then the contract would be considered binding. If a teacher decided subsequently to leave, she or he would have to ask for a formal release.
Education Association president Don Bomberger noted that it would be difficult for teachers to make a decision as to whether to stay in the Rappahannock system without knowing salary or class assignment.
