Supervisor Clarence Baldwin interjected that the BZA could have used the SI,800 in its account to pay legal fees without any prior approval from the Supervisors.
Without acknowledging whether Baldwin’s claim was correct, Davis countered that the Supervisors hadn’t allowed the BZA more than SI ,800. “This is just a small part of it,” he said in reference to the $4,339 legal fee. “I’ll tell you that. $4,000 may be the present bill but I doubt if it will cover half (of the final costs).”
