1 he House Tour and Dried Flower Sale scheduled this year for Saturday and Sunday, October 21 and 22. is the twenty-second annual such event sponsored by the Episcopal Churchwomen of Bromfteld Parish. The tour headquarters and flower salesroom will be at the Trinity Church parish hall in Washington, Va. Hours for the tour and flower sale are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and from 1 to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
Three homes, three churches, the Rappahannock Library and Rappahannock Historical Society building will all be open to the public for the two days. An unusual feature of the event is an exhibit of paintings from The Phelps Collection, including at least ten paintings by the famous American artist, Andrew Wyeth, and members of his family.
One of the eight homes and buildings featured will be “Rosewood” on the Old Hollow road near Sperryville, supposedly the oldest building in Rappahannock.
