“Rosewood”, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Labovitz, bought the property in 1972 and have continued the careful restoration process with a genuine respect for the character and design of the original house.
A two-story addition was completed in 1977 containing a gem of a country kitchen 13 by 26 feet, featuring a large, open fireplace complete with handmade iron cooking spit, hangers and pots, and of course, a rocking chair. The floor is an old brick design, and at one end of the room is a “talkin' corner”, now used for casual dining. All modem cooking conveniences have been tastefully blended into the Early American design. The working end of the kitchen includes a long and unusual curved counter which was once used in a small country store in Washington.
The remainder of the first floor, in the old section of the house, contains a parlor with the original fireplace and mantel, a music room that does service as a family
