SWEET POTATOES
The sweet potato, a native of America, is a plant of a different family from the white potato; it is a relative of the morning glory and has no poisonous associations. There is a drier yellow potato and an orangey, moister and sweeter potato popularly but incorrectly called a yam. A true yam is a vegetable of coarser texture which is also edible.
