Title I
To the editor:
The letter of complaint written by a parent to HEW concerning the Title 1 program was unfair. As parents of a child in one of the programs, we would like to make a few positive statements.
The program that we are affiliated with has been extremely beneficial to our child. We have been in the classroom and have firsthand information on his progress and the files have been volunteered for our inspection. The teacher has been more than generous with her time in explaining the program.
The important thing is the child is happy, well-adjusted and has a normal school environment which includes the normal integration with his peers in his other classes.
He is also achieving significantly in the program.
