Training
Gregory Allen Settle of Sperryville has completed his training at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, S. C. While in training, he was made squad leader of his platoon. He also received a meritorious promotion to Private First Class.
After spending several days at home here, Mr. Settle will leave Oct. 18 for Memphis, Tenn., where he will attend aviation school. Mr. Settle is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Settle of Sperryville.
Those attending his graduation at Parris Island were Mr. and Mrs. Settle, Kim and Jackie Settle and Mrs. John Jenkins of Sperryville and Miss Judy Whorton of Castleton.
