Sperryville’s annual Firemen’s Carnival opened last night for a four-night run and will feature a grand parade, tonight, Thursday, beginning at 7 p.m. Features of the two remaining nights include the crowning of a carnival queen or honorary fire chief on Friday and the awarding of prizes Saturday night.
Thursday’s parade will feature bands, floats, ' marching units, majorette groups and individuals, fire and rescue equipment, antique vehicles and comics. The midway will offer thrilling rides each evening and the food stand will have a great variety of home made desserts, hotdogs and hamburgers and drinks.
