—primary reading lab for students in grades 2, 3 and 4 who are one-half year or more below grade level; expected to serve 50 children,
— upper elementary reading lab for students in grades 4-7 who are one and a half years or more below grade level; expected to serve 60 children,
—transitional readiness class for first graders coming from kindergarten who need extra preparation in reading readiness skills; selfcontained classroom expected to serve 20 children,
—high school reading lab for students in grades 8-12 who are two years or more below grade level; expected to serve 60 children,
—upper elementary math lab for students in grades 4-7 who are two years below grade level; expected to serve 60 children.
Title I is a federally funded educational program designed to help students with average ability who are lacking in education experience and can benefit from the intensified learning and low pupil-teacher ratio in a lab setting.
Retarded and handicapped children are not eligible for Title I programs. Before any child is included in Title classes, parents must give their written permission.
