School Board plans to install underground gasoline tanks at 1he bus garage moved forward a step last week. >
In a letter from the Virginia Department of Highways and Transportation H. M. Snead informed the board that the department would probably acquire the right-of-way for the widening of Route 211 in September or October of 1979.
For several years, the board has included $800 in the school budget for installation of underground tanks. The project has been delayed, however, as the board has waited for money from the Highway Department for the current school garage site. The current site will be taken in property condemnation for widening Route 211.
Also at the July 10 meeting, the School Board learned that the State Board of Education’s administrative review schedule includes Rappahannock.
