Mrs. Dunphy says that both she and her husband love living in Rappahannock. “People have been just wonderful to us—really friendly.” They liked the building and the location when they first saw them, and think that the county has a lot of potential for growth which is, of course, very important to any business.
They have had absolutely no problems in establishing the store, “short of organizing!”, and they enjoy the work involved.
Says Mrs. Dunphy, “The busier we are, the better we like it,” and this enthusiasm ensures that Ye Olde General Store will become even more of a success than it is already.
