At the meeting of the Washington Town Council held Tuesday, 10 July, two representatives of the Centel Telephone Company were present to negotiate the telephone franchise which they hope to renew with the Town of Washington.
The proposals were read in their eniirity, with the understanding that any issues could be discussed, and perhaps altered if necessary. Included in the contract were the following points.
