I must apologize for leaving out several county peach growers in last week’s column. T. M. Triplett, who lives in Rappahannock, sells peaches in Linden, Herbert Foster, Flint Hill, George Beahm, Gid Brown Hollow, and Louis Moore, Flint Hill also have peaches. If there are others, please let me know so I can be sure to list them.
FRESH PEACH PIE

1 cup sugar
3 tablespoons cornstarch Vi teaspoon nutmeg
1 cup crushed fresh peaches '/« cup water
1 tablespoon lemon juice 3 cups slices fresh peaches
Combine sugar, cornstarch and nutmeg in saucepan. Add crushed peaches and water. Cook stirring constantly until thick and clear. Remove from heat. Blend in lemon juice - cover. Cool to lukewarm. Combine sliced peaches and thickened mixture. Pour into baked pastry shell. Chill. Serve with whipped cream or ice cream.
