Session
The second meeting of ‘‘Introduction to the American Novel” will be held next Tuesday, July 24, at 10 a.m. Brady Corrothers will be discussing the essays of Ralph Waldo Emerson.
The meeting will be an examination of themes which Emerson initiated, but which are still represented even in the most modern writings.
The group will meet at the Rappahannock Library in Washington. The charge for individual sessions will be $5. Please call the Library at 675-3780 for the list of books and the dates on which they will be under discussion.
Church Notice
Bible School at the Sperryville United Methodist Church will be held Monday, July 30, through Friday, August 3, from 10 a.m. to noon. All children in the area are invited.
The Sunday School picnic of the Methodist Church will be held Sunday, August 5, at the Methodist Camp near Boston.
