Rappahannock New* Staff Writer A poll conducted by the Rappahannock school board shows that parents and teenagers think the use of drugs and alcohol by school aged children in the county has increased over the past three years.
In addition, both groups favor a stronger drug and alcohol policy enforced in the public schools.
At last Tuesday's meeting, school board chairman Beverly Massie announced the results of a survey mailed to parents and given to students at Rappahannock County High School last month.
Mrs. Massie reported that 276 questionnaries out of 657 sent home to parents were returned, a response rate of 42 per cent. Of the parents surveyed, 230 (90 per cent) & felt from their own
