For the first time this year, travel to Shenandoah National Park shows an increase. According to statistics released by superintendent # Robert Jacobsen, visits for November, 1979, totalled 101.000—up 1.2 percent from the 99.800 visits in November. 1978.
Overnight stays also stepped up from 15.671 in November. 1978. to 16,654 in the same month of 1979.
Calendar Year 1978 still shows a decrease in visits of 22.6 per cent, however, when compared with Calendar Year 1978.
