said Morris. Laboratory rearing of one effective parasite of the sawfly is currently underway and a second parasite will be added in 1980. These parasites will be distributed throughout the infested area in 1980-81.
Infestations of this new sawfly currently! exist throughout the eastern half of Rockingham County and probably extend into Shenandoah and Augusta Counties. The North Carolina infestation has been found to extend into Grayson County, Virginia.
