Five female clients of the Rappahannock-Rapidan Mental Retardation Services were recently treated to a free make-up demonstration.
Joan Lane, a Mary Kay make-up representative for the area, donated her time, supplies and expertise to show the women the art of applying make-up.

The Washington Volunteer Fire Dept, answered a call on December 11 to the residence of D. L. Price for a chimney fire and on December 17, to the home of Edward Hudson for a chimney fire.
The Washington Rescue Squad transported James William Hughes from his home in Gid Brown Hollow December 12 to Warren Memorial and on December 14 transported him to Culpeper Memorial Hospital. Bill Freeman of Washington was taken to Warren Memorial Hospital, Front Royal on December 9 and December 6 William Knight was taken to Warren Memorial after falling from a moving pickup truck on Rt. 211.
