knowledge and experience that drug and alcohol use had increased. Only eight parents thought use was down and 16 thought it had remained unchanged over the past three years.
Among students in grades eight through twelve at RCHS, 228 (67 per cent) thought drug and alcohol use had gone up, 71 students saw it» as unchanged over the past three years and 30 thought it had decreased.
The overwhelming majority of parents surveyed -244 or 92 per cent-favored a firmer drug and alcohol policy. Nine parents wanted a more lenient policy and 10 supported the policy currently in force.
