Elected
New officers elected at the annual meeting of the Northern Piedmont Beekeepers Association .December 6 were John Amberson of Castleton president.NCraig .Estes of Madison vice president. Maurice Herndon’ of Sperryville secretary, and Raymond Johnson of Woodville treasurer.
On the program committee to plan the quarter meetings held by the Association are Craig Estes of Madison, chairman; Mrs. Maynard Hoffman of Culpeper, W. W. Chiles of Orange, and Lyt .Wood, Woodville.
Garrett Moore of Lexington, president, and Tommy Ragsdale of Orange, secretary-treasurer, of the Virginia State Beekeepers Association addressed the local association. The women of the Burnt Tree Grange prepared and served the delicious Christmas dinner.
Memberships are being taken for 1980. Interested beekeepers may contact Raymond Johnson at 9878685. The Northern Piedmont Association has over 50 members, most amateur beekeepers who have one or more colonies of bees.
