Junior Girl Scout Troop 380 has set a goal for the year of hiking the Appalachian Trial in the Shenandoah National Park from Chester Gap to Thornton Gap.
Last Monday 16 of the girls made the first part of the hike, from Chester Gap to Jenkins Gap, about 4 and one-third miles.

The ninth Arts and Craft Day planned for the Culpeper Extension Homemakers’ Clubs will be held Friday, October 24 from 9 to 6:30 at the American Legion Hall on Route 229.
Lunch to be served from 11:30 to 4 consists of homemade vegetable soup, hot dogs, ham biscuits, chicken salad sandwiches, assorted homemade pies, and beverages.
