Water Shortage
Due to the dry weather. Councilman Charlie Jenkins is requesting that all residents of the Town of Washington do their part in the conservation of' the Town’s water supply. Citizens are asked not to wash cars, water lawns or use excessive amounts of water. According to Mayor Newbill Miller, a leak in the water line is suspected. Anyone who knows of a possible leak should call Mr. Jenkins.
Clerk Needed At Boston
Post Office
The U.S. Postal Service has announced an examination for the clerk position in the post office at Boston, Va. Opening date for applications is October 27, continuing through November 1.
Consideration for filling this position will be made from the highest eligibles on the register who are available.
