SPERRYVILLE FIRE COMPANY is planning a public auction for Saturday, November 1 at the Sperryville Emporium grounds and articles for the sale are badly needed. Contributions have begun to come in, among them, a handgun owned by the late former sheriff Jim Lillard and a wooden German made clock, both donated by Mrs. H. B. Winfrey. Both are unusual and interesting items.
