A pen of 17 medium frame Charolais and Charolais - cross steers averaging 340 pounds brought top price October 14 at the second Page, Rappahannock and Warren feeder. The top selling pen was purchased by S. Henry Thomas of Luray with a sale topping bid of $90 per hundred weight.
Thomas was one of 52 buyers from Virginia, Maryland and Pennsylvania bidding for the 219 steers and 113 heifers consigned by 25 producers from the three counties.
