Shepherd
Three Rappahannock students have been admitted to Shepherd College in Shepherdstown, W. Va. for the 1961 fall semester which begins August 26.
They are Rhonda D. Foster, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Guy Foster of Sperryville and James J. Tomko of Amissville, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Tomko, both 1981 graduates of Rappahannock County High School; and Deborah A. Seal, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Foster of Chester Gap, a 1980 graduate of Rappahannock.
Shepherd College, located on the banks of the Potomac River in the Shenandoah Valley, offers 70 fields including business administration, liberal arts, teacher education and other career-oriented areas.
The 165-acre campus is located in Shepherdstown about sixty miles from the metropolitan area. The school enrollment exceeds 3,000.
Flint Hill Picnic
The Flint Hill Fire Department Ladies’ Auxiliary will sponsor a community picnic on the carnival grounds on June 14 at 5 p.m.
All Flint Hill residents are invited to attend and bring a covered dish.
