Supporters of a capital outlay program at the county high school and a school board member sharply critical of raises and employee benefits in the school budget were among the handful of speakers at the supervisors’ public hearing Monday on the proposed 1981-82 county budget.
Final vote on the S3,158,801 budget is set for next Monday, June 8, at a special 9 a.m. session in the court house. The tax rate required to support proposed expenditures for the coming fiscal year is $5.70 per $100 on real estate and $1.40 on licensed vehicles (personal property).
