Miss Catherine Helen Dixon, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Dixon of Viewtown, became the bride of Jeffrey Glenn Bell of Vienna on April 4, 1981. The bridgegroom’s parents are Col. and Mrs. Dale M. Bell of Annandale.

The marriage was performed by the Rev. Ray Crockett in the Amissville United Methodist Church.

The bride wore a formal gown of white chiffon and organza fashioned with a scooped neckline and bishop sleeves. The fitted bodice was embroidered with seed pearls and the skirt ended in a chapel train. Her veil of French illusion was attached to a headpiece of lace and pearls, and she carried a cascade of white gardenias and blue baby’s breath.

Miss Patricia Anne Dixon was maid of honor for her sister and wore a powder blue gown with a pleated skirt and chiffon capelet.

Bridesmaids included Miss Karleen Donmoyer and Miss Lynn Jefferson, both of Fairfax. Their dresses were identical to that of the honor attendent and they carried bouquets of matching daisies.
