The annual Rappahannock County House Tour and Dried Flower Sale will be presented on the afternoons of Saturday, October 17 and Sunday, October 18. This is the twenty-fifth year that the popular event has been arranged by the Churchwomen of Bromfield Parish. Headquarters for the t«ir and flower sale will be the parish hall of Trinity Episcopal Church in Washington, Va.
Grace Sims, who chaired the event last year, has accepted reappointment to direct it in 1981. To head the various committees, Mrs. Sims has appointed the following.
Tour house selection will be handled by Virginia Smith and Marie Kilpatrick and Mary Quaintance is in charge of recruiting hostesses and cashiers.
Jane Herndon will be in charge of the afternoon tea to be presented at one of the houses on both days of the tour.
Decorating one house will be Dotsy Davis and Christine Johnston. Decorators for the other houses will be selected later.
The car parking committee is being directed by Gil Webb.
Florence Williamson and Amy Monahan are in charge of selecting, buying, planting and growing the flower seedlings to be later dried for the arrangements.
Busy transplanting flower seedlings are Carol Hales, Jean Parrish, Martha Sutherland, Jane Herndon, Grace Sims and Quita Parrish.
Drying the many hundreds of flowers used in the arrangements will be under the direction of Marjorie Albright and Florence Williamson.
